He gained a strong conservation background by completing a degree in Buildings Archaeology and a postgraduate certificate in Architectural History and Conservation. Oskar then added to his skill set with several years of hands-on practical work.

As a recipient of two English Heritage Traditional Skills Bursary Awards, he had the pleasure of learning from some of the best craftspeople in England whilst working on a wide variety of buildings – from smaller barn conversions to large country houses, churches, and historic landscapes. Oskar has worked on historic buildings in London, the home counties, the Cotswolds, and Yorkshire.

After joining Corbel in 2014, Oskar initially specialised in site and project management of some of the larger and more complex projects, such as the restoration of Horton Court in Gloucestershire. This gradually led him to estimating and pre-construction and, subsequently, to commercial management.

In his current role as Commercial Director, Oskar is able to combine his passion for historic buildings with his aptitude for technical and financial problem-solving. He is responsible for overseeing the commercial side of the projects, including project management, drawing and spec control software, all pre-construction activities, supply chain management, QS support and financial control.
