Grade 1 listed Barnston Manor is reputed to be one of the oldest dwellings in the whole of the Purbecks. With origins dating back to the 13th century and links to Oliver Cromwell this stunning buildings is steeped in historic and Architectural significance. Our work consisted of a sympathetic conversion of the dairy and piggery buildings to provide guest accommodation and workshop space. Within the main manor house we removed a dividing wall within the great Hall, in turn making it one open room, as historically intended and moved the kitchen to another part of the house. Alongside the alteration works was a new plant room and heating system accompanied by new electrical works as required.
