Corbel Architects are very pleased to have been appointed by the Trustees of Chard Museum to lead the Design Team for their 50 Years and Beyond – Stories and Spaces Project. 

Sheldon Court

This long term multi phased project, started with a Feasibility Study to try and understand how to make better use of the house, outbuildings and gardens to suit the new owners varied ambitions, and give budget costs to understand how the work could be best phased.

Rock House

This 3 storey townhouse, built circa 1740 was originally one room deep with a kitchen and parlour at ground floor with bedrooms above.

Our clients asked us to re-order their house to make the most of the stunning panoramic views and create an open plan layout that worked for their growing family.

Pear Tree Cottage

The core of Pear Tree Cottage is approximately 300 years old and several campaigns of extensions have enlarged the original cottage.

Tickenham Court, North Somerset

Tickenham Court represents a fine survival, a medieval manor house close to the church with relatively little recent surrounding development. The project repaired the hall and solar wings, built circa 1470, with a new Oriel link located on the footprint of an earlier iteration.
